Each city on this website has parks, walks or lookouts with no entry fee, although in Cairns we have only confirmed part of it. What may cost money is parking or getting there. If a page says nothing about the price, we say so here, because that does not prove it is free.
The lists are in alphabetical order, with no rating. Parks can close because of fire risk or bad weather. Before swimming, see rips, jellyfish and flags and dangerous animals. Museums are in free museums by city.

What we could not confirm
There are three items we do not take as reliable:
- Derwent Ferries, Hobart: its website says transport is free "from Monday 30 March to Tuesday 30 June 2027", but those days of the week correspond to 2026. That is why we have not included it.
- Royal Botanic Garden Sydney: Destination NSW presents it as a free activity, without saying so expressly.

More places are in nature.
