What we could not confirm

  • Cap and status are not confirmed on the official source. We could not check the Home Affairs page 'Status of country caps' (immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/what-we-do/whm-program/status-of-country-caps), or a saved copy of it. According to third parties, that table can take up to 48 hours to update.
  • Body that issues the letter of support in this country.
  • The rules require sufficient funds, with no figure. The AUD 5,000 figure appears in the official checklist for China (March 2026), on the Australian Embassy in Indonesia page (2021-22), at Tourism Australia (2023) and in independent guides, and these sources add the cost of the departure flight. We could not check the general Home Affairs page to confirm it for this country.
  • English notes: independent guides only. The official checklist for China of March 2026 no longer gives notes and refers to Home Affairs, which we could not check. The December 2024 checklist gave higher scores for PTE (30) and TOEFL iBT (32).
  • The 3 and 6 months are in the Migration Regulations (clauses 462.218 and 462.219). The 88-day count comes from Tourism Australia (2023) and independent guides. LIN 22/013 is on the register with April 2025 as its latest version.
  • Whether the second- and third-visa ballot has moved on since 26 October 2026, the date of the last source we could check (RACC). We could not read the ministry's official announcement.
  • We could not check the Australian embassy page for this country.
