What we could not confirm

  • We could not check the Home Affairs page on the subclass 417 visa, or an archived copy of it. Age and passport rules come from the legal instrument F2026L00878.
  • No cap: stated by third parties (One Planet Migration Law and Pvtistes, January 2026). The legal instrument sets no cap. Clause 417.221(5) allows a cap to be set by another rule, which we have not found.
  • No study, English or support letter requirement: inferred because neither the Migration Regulations (clauses 417.211 and 417.221) nor the legal instrument ask for them. There is no express statement from Home Affairs for this country.
  • Funds: the rules ask for enough money, with no figure. The approximate AUD 5,000, plus money for the flight out, come from Tourism Australia, not directly from Home Affairs.
  • The 3 and 6 months are in the Migration Regulations. The 88 days come from a Tourism Australia page of May 2023. The types of work come from LIN 22/012, whose April 2025 compilation is listed in the register as the latest.
  • Health care agreement: we could only see it on Tourism Australia (January 2026). We could not check the Services Australia page.
  • We could not check the embassy page in Stockholm.
